Gabbi showed signs of being a singer from a very early age. She began
singing a cappella in elementary and middle school talent shows. When she
was 12, she performed for the first time at Coffee Amici with Dave Phillips.
Then onto singing at fairs, festivals, and being a member of her middle and
high school show choirs; currently a member of the award winning Findlay
First Edition show choir directed by Kevin Manley. She also has an avid
interest in Journalism, hoping to soon be an Entertainment Editor for Findlay
High School’s newspaper, The Blue & Gold.
Gabbi is continuing to perform at Coffee Amici with Dave and several of his
music students and has her own set on some Saturday evenings. Now at 16
years old, music and performing is her foremost passion in life. Gabbi has a
distinctive and expressive voice and a style that’s all her own. She is always
striving to find songs to perform that she feels connected to and challenges
Gabbi appreciates all different genres and styles of music, from artists such
as Janis Joplin, Kurt Cobain, Amy Whinehouse, The Beatles, among many
others. She plans on continuing to sing at a local level, and after high school
to further her career in music. Gabbi has her sights set on Belmont
University in Nashville, Tennessee, where she will major in Commercial
Music with a Music Business Emphasis for voice.
Music is the literature of the heart; it commences where speech ends.
